paying it all back eventually

By years end all of my old tuition bills will be finally settled. It will be good to no longer have to pay for them to say the least. However I have at least three more payments left before that goal is accomplished. I was aware of that as well.

Britain is Finished

In terms of both its population and is stagnant economy the nation of Great Britain is in the proverbial doghouse. The British have been declining for the past two and half decades but it is relatively recently that they have as a society hit rock bottom. An entire generation of Britains have been grown up with no culture, no future and no values. This is an intense problem for a society in sad decline

Hubris just plain sucks

Parents are especially guilty of hubris on many occassions. Hubris is excessive pride or arrogance. It basically leads to bad decisions and misjudgments. Please people leave your hubris at the door. Do not act as though you are naturally superior to everyone else even when you are not. I was aware of that as well.

No wonder a name change

In 1914 the University of New Jersey formally changed its name to Princeton. Some time later the State University of New Jersey also changed its name to Rutgers. Both higher ed bodies formally dissassociated themselves with the corrupt meyer that is New Jersey politics. Little has changed to this day as a matter of fact. 3 mayors, two assemblymen and five rabbis are implicated directly in a bribery and money laudering scandal. The office of Jeff Corzine the governor of the state has also been implicated in the probe. Personally I hope that the justice department nails these people to a wall. It would serve them right

historical misnomers

Both Moa Tse Dong and Joseph Stalin are mass murderers yet they are revired as great leaders even to this day by both the Chinese and Russians respectively. Why do some mass murderers get reviled and others get revered I really do not understand it.

where it all breaks down

mental problems are surprisingly common amongst both Americans and people in general. It is estimated that some thirty five million Americans most of them under the age of thirty possess some kind of a mental disorder. However mental disorders still to this day remain very poorly understood both by physicians and families. They can often lead to tragedies if they go untreated. This issue touches my life personally as I have a mental disorder. I hope one day progress can be made both scientific and social that can help to alieviate some of the problems suffered by me and my fellows. I was aware of that as well.

after the wedding

Well my elder sister and her new husband are enjoying themselves thoroughly in Buenos Aires Argentina. All in all it was a good if slightly insane time for my family as a whole. The past weekend I visited four American states and traversed two thirds of the country in the process. It was great fun all around. I will catch you all again soon.

the future of farms

It is sad to say that small farming towns like Coleridge Nebraska are disappearing as population centers. These communities should really look at the idea a visa exchange program with India and China. They really need young people bad. The family of my in laws are third generation farmers and you can literally feel the desolation. It is a population that is steep decline. Something radical has to be done to ressurect these communities. I was aware of that as well.

decline of a thinking culture

It is sad to say that the world's intellectual culture is in decline. Recently it has been replaced with petty patriotism. This is a rather sad development in many respects of the term. The death of intellectualism does spell doom for the society at large. Intellectuals remain the greatest predictors of change and ways of thought. I was aware of that as well

after the wedding

After my elder sister's wedding I feel appropriately devastated energy wise. No doubt it was good fun for the most part. I think her husband is in general a good person and I am quite happy for both of them. None the less I did not enjoy staying up till three am in the morning. None the less I have to make the most of the given situation. I was aware of that as well

Peace deal in Kashmir

What the disputed region of Kashmir needs is a peace deal. The United Nations should create a joint special protectorate and have a multi national peace keeping force to protect the innocent civilians. More people are negatively effected by this conflict than are effected by the Arab Israeli Conflict. It should demand more of the worlds time and attention. The importance of South Asia as a region is growing. However at the current time this conflict remains unresolved. I was aware of that as well.
