Character Assassination Sucks
I must preface the following comment by saying that I love my family friend Yuri Kondo dearly. That being said she is a character assassin of the first order. I remember one dinner conversation I had with her in which she said that Former President Bush was in league with Bin Laden to overthrow the government of Iran. I thought that comment was both stupid and insane. Pointless Partisan ship is just that pointless. I do not character assasinate people I dislike politically. I despise them for political reasons. Take for example Senator John Kerry. I do not like how liberal John Kerry is but I do not go around stating that he is a drug addict or that he robbed a bank. Such a thing is monumentally unproductive in the extreme. Keep personal quibbles aside and despise people for political reasons and not personal ones. Stop being a character assassin I am begging you.

the essence of exile
Exile can mean essentially two things. It can mean literal exile as in my father's situation regarding his home country Pakistan. However it can also mean metaphorical exile as exile from happiness. That is also exile just as much as the latter is exile. Rather formally exile remains the state of modern political affairs in the twenty first century.

inescapable irony
Right now my life feels a shade more ironic than it should be. The latter is a feeling that I can't fully escape at the present time. None the less I have to turn something bad into something good. The latter is more diffuclt however it must be done.

Can Anyone Stop Tony Parker?
After the NBA all star break it seems that Tony Parker has been on a tare in terms of scoring. It seems that he has found a way to elevate his game to MVP level play. Greatness of back court play is especially crucial when the playoffs start. Can anyone stop Tony Parker?

the irony of it all
The situation that we find ourselves in is rather ironic. Things shouldn't be this way but they are and we have to deal with them. Getting around this last fact is rather tricky and I know it. In the end we have to finish what we have started.

the problems with Af-Pak
Right now the deteriorating situation in Pakistan is working to destabilize its neighbor Afhganistan politically. The problems of one influence the other. This is shaping American policy towards the region. Pakistan is sheltering and protecting the Taliban leadership particularly in Quetta. Dealing with one inevitably means dealing with the other.

the long road ahead
The journey that I have traveled is long and complex. However I am sensing that a new shift is about to occur. It will take place in the era of turbulence and moving beyond it will prove to be rather tricky to say the least. I was aware of that as well.
