The Private Space Age

In 1994 the first commercially launched rocket ship went up that sent an astronaut into orbit.

What made this event significant is it was the first manned space expedition not to be funded by the government. Now Burt Rutan and others are getting into the space bussiness. The future is private space travel. Basically it is rich geeks with the right stuff.
