In the past year and half democracy has one big in the Indian Subcontinent. All of the countries in it have adopted democratic governments. Sri Lanka defeated the Tamil Tigers, Sheikh Hasina's Awami League Party wins the Bengali elections. Nepal adopts democratic rule and Pakistan has a new Civilian Government. It seems as if democracy has won big in south asia of late.
