Underrated Authors

This blog is focusing on underrated authors. The first in this category is Philip K Dick. Dick was a genuine visionary who didn't get enough credit and attention in his own lifetime. It is nearly thirty years after Dick's death and only now is he beginning to get the attention that his mind so richly deserves. Secondly Edgar Allan Poe is also an underrated author. His dark and fantastic vision is as hauntingly real today as it was a hundred and fifty years ago when it was first published. The last in Chinua Achebe. He is a great storyteller of the first order who I think should have won the Man booker Prize outright. His stories also weave complex political and moral messages into the fabric of his fiction. All three of these authors are truly great and deserve attention. I was aware of that as well.
